You've got MAIL... and elephants?

This is the stack of mail I just retrieved out of my mail box!!!
I absolutely HATE mail! As with most things in my life that I don't particularly like, I avoid it until the very last possible moment.
If I don't have to see it, than it doesn't exist, right?

I really try and be good and pick up my mail at least every other month. Sometimes my post person (I am so politically correct) has to come and leave me a little "love" note to go empty out my box.

In other happenings in the Gomez world, Z and I went to the Zoo for the first time!! Little Miss was mostly uninterested and slept through the last half. I on the other hand absolutely LOVED it.
The polar bear was awesome, as were the elephants. I took my camera to make sure to take some great pic's of Z first zoo trip, as you can see below I failed.

YUP that is all I got, the first monkey I saw and the elephants, then Little Miss sleeping.
LAMEST MOM EVER!!
I have never been one to take a lot of pictures of well anything, but I am trying to be better.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you here again soon :)

My day of protest

I have said it before, and I will say it again
I HAVE THE BEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD
there is no other man in this world that could love me the way he does and put up with all my spice at the same time.
there is a special place in Heaven saved for my man.

I have had a struggle in my roll as mother, wife, cook, housekeeper, hair stylist, and very very part time foreclosure specialist.

my sweet husband likes to joke with me, as you all know I have some spice in me, and when he jokes I tend to "throw" spicyness right back at him.

My sweet honey was joking around about how I have let our house get a little messy. I have tried to get him to understand since I have become a stay at home mommy that I am not a maid.
Yesterday I lovingly picked up clothes and 6 pairs of shoes that my hubby had left in our family room.

After his comment (really he was joking) I thought I would teach him a lesson.
I WENT ON PROTEST
I then went and got all of the clothes I picked up yesterday and so sweetly thew them back on the floor where I found them.
I then proceeded to plan my day so I would not spend anytime in my home (who would want to be in a mess) and made sure he knew I would not pick up or clean one thing in our home today.

Zuri and I then proceeded to go exercise (I had to come home long enough to shower) go out to lunch, and then a day filled with shopping.

Coming home I know I was a little more spicy than the situation called for. This happens far to often, but I being the blessed girl I am, have the best husband who doesn't care.

He always reassures me that even though some days I don't get everything done I wanted to, that I am the best mom and wife in the world.

I love my husband with all of my heart!!! I can not think of another couple in the world that is more perfect for each other, than Eldon and Margeaux!!

New- calling, rolling, training? And baking...

I got called to serve in Young Women's this past month. I am the beehives advisor (woot woot)
I am so excited, the girls are amazing and I am just so happy about this new adventure
I love to see the girls and how excited they are about things.
It has also been very eye opening to hear first hand the trials that face the youth.
They have busy schedules and extra activities, they are already planning on
How to get scholarships for collage, they are 12 & 13, when I was that age I think
I was trying to figure out how to get out of class.
I love these girls, and the other women I am serving with.

Other things that are going on, Little Miss rolled over for the first time today.
I thought this would never happen, because when I put her on her belly she always sleeps.
But today she did it. I put her on her belly I turned to do something and when I looked back, she was on her back!! She is getting so big. I love seeing her grow and discover new things everyday.

She LOVES her daddy, and who wouldn't? he is constantly singing to her about everything.
My favorite was when he sang to her about being made with a turkey baster!! LOL
He is always willing to change diapers and take her when she is fussy.
I love seeing the love he has for her, and to see the recognition she has, her eyes light up when daddy comes home.

I am working on creating a new me. I have a goal to make me healthier.
I have been doing water aerobics, and trying to make better eating choices, we bought a good blender so I now make veggie packed smoothies. I also went to the gym yesterday with an amazing woman from my ward. She is a great motivator. Hopefully I can just keep with it, and meet my goals.
I will keep you updated on this adventure.

As I have been getting used to my new roll as a stay at home mom, I have been trying todo the things I would always say I would when I could just stay home. It is harder than I thought, I don't have as much time as I thought I would, but I am working on it.
Today my goal is to make bread, I have never done this before....I will let you know how it goes
