I have been out of school for a week and a half YAY, I thought I would have all the time in the workd and my life could finally start. REALITY CHECK There is still no time in the day to do all the things I have planned for my life. Like Jerry says "you have to stop waiting for your life to start, this is it, you are already in it"
So here I am in the middle of my life, still not knowing what to do about anything really.......
Today I plan on spending some quality time with the Hubbin's, finnish the base borards in my salon, and make some pumkin chocolate chip cookies.
It is a start in the direction I want to go. In my perfect life I wouldn't have to work at the mortgage company, I would stay home and do hair, cook, sew, craft, and bake all the day long. This is not my Perfect Life, but for today I am Perfectly Happy!!
Hello!! We are the Gomez family. Eldon and I have been married since 2007. We met in high school and became instant best friends. When Eldon came home from serving his LDS mission in KY in 2005 We started dating and a long two years later we were married. 5 amazing years later we were FINALLY blessed with our sweet daughter. WOW
Okay so as always it has been a really, really, really long time since I have posted. Our little Gomez lives have been CRAZY!!! so going back, We started the salon (YAY) it is almost done, we are at the painting stage. Who would have thought I would be so indecisive about the colors(?) But I am set now and we are going to be painting all weekend (if you don't have any plans please come join us).
We took a sweet little family trip down to Vegas in June, we went down for the IBS hair show....AMAZING!!!!! I loved it, and even better El loved it. I have the best husband, not only does he support me in my career choice, but he gets as excited about it as I do, because he knows I LOVE it so much. (I know I know luckiest girl in the world right here)We also had the chance to see his old mission bud. The Potts' they are the sweetest most welcoming family I know, and the have the cutest little girl. All in all not only did we have a great time, but I picked up the best stuff for my salon........Grand Opening coming soon, you will have to come and check out all the goodness.
After a relaxing month with out the interruption of cell phones...pure bliss!!!! We went and celebrated our 4 year anniversary up in Lava Hot Springs :) We stayed in Pocitello, and let me just tell you it was SO nice to just be with the hubby and not have a plan or things that need to get done, to not have to think about the real world for a few days (LOVED it)
Then we had to come back to the REAL world :( I started back to school, and my dear sweet hubby went back to work (he is still looking for a better job....we are hoping to have him out of the retail business when the holidays hit) We have gone back to our regular every day grind..... he is working and comes home and takes care of the house and the dogs, and the construction on the salon......and I go to school, our days are long, we don't get to see much of each other, and when we do we are usually falling asleep on the couch (yup every night.....till 2) But there is a light at the end of our tunnel. I graduate Oct. 17 FINALLY!!!!!!!
Sept. 17 my father (greatest man in the whole freaking world) went into Cardiac Arrest, we were getting in the car after my nephews football game (go pirates!!) and Dad just went down. Right there on the side of the car, right in front of Talia, and Lauren to see. He stopped breathing and they (we are so lucky there was a nurse and police officer right there who saved him) after about 5 minutes of CPR got his heart started again and got him breathing (YAY). He was taken to the hospital, he had a heart attack (mom calls them episodes) and was in A Fib for 4 days. After a pace maker/ defibrillator was put in they shocked his heart back into a regular rhythm. After 3 procedures and a few setbacks (dang Kidney's) He was finally released to go home and recover from his "Episode" and 12 day stay at the hospital. I am very happy to report he is doing AMAZING!! There were so many blessings from our Heavenly Father that came into play to keep my Dad here with me and I am FOREVER thankful.
Moving on to happier and brighter things (hopefully). We have big plans for our little family in the near future, we want to go to Guatemala (I still haven't met all the family......or learned Spanish), also we want to get Eldon back in school for a graduate program of some sorts, while I try and get enough clients that I don't have to work at the mortgage company any more (wishful thinking). We are hoping to adopt another dog into our family (my niece calls us the Duger of Dogs LOL) and just keep plugging away and being happy.

FINALLY.......Home Sweet Home!!
It has been almost 6 months now and we are the HAPPIEST couple in the world. We closed on our house May 27, 2010 and it is perfect for us. It is not a huge home by any means but it is ours. Our home has 3 finnished bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (Eldon and I finally don't have the share) a good kitchen, a front room and a family room with the laundry area not finnished (thankfully) It is PERFECT.......I am going to put in a salon. what could be better than haveing my own space to do hair (which I love...duh) while staying home. and then just wait the fun keeps coming there is still an unfinnished basement. Plenty of room for the two of us(plus the boy-dog-son)
The yard is huge, I wanted to get goats and I had Eldon warmed up to the idea about the same time Diezel came into our lives. We planted our first garden and are still enjoying the fruits (actually just vegitables) of our labors. El decided that he LOVES bell pepers so he planted 6 dear hell between that and the zuccini I think our freezer is full. The BEST part about our house I must say is the garage. I love that I don't have to scrap the snow or frost off of my car in the mornings (I am usually running late as it is)
We have both been enjoying the new found task that come along with home ownership, the yard was a huge pile of dead looking weeds when we moved in and the sprinkling system wasn't working all that great. My dear sweet hubby has been so brave and we now have grass and sprinklers that work and a yard that looks like we care about our home.
We have had a few bumps in our new responcibility of taking care of a house. We DEFFINATLY miss being able to call maintainance when anything needs to be fixed or if we even need a new light bulb. Now it is all up to us, and I feel we have learned to work better as a team. Eldon is finally becomeing one of those "handy guys" that just know how to fix anything that needs fixing.
I love the space that we have, considering that our first appartment in the village could fit in my kitchen/entry rooms and the second appartment the 2 beadroom could fit in my family/laudry area. We have deffinatly come a long way. I have enjoyed being able to have room to decorate for Christmas, this is the first year I have been able to put all of the branches on the tree....Finally I don't have to just shove it in a corner wherever I can find to fit it. Now it sits proudly in the perfect view of the street in my front room.

Summer/Fall update
WOW it has been a long time, in my little world it feels like it should still be June. This year has just gone by WAY too fast. Well I have tons of pictures to add on at a later date, but they will come soon, Since we last have chatted we have moved into our house, had a crazy busy summer, got our dog Diezel (our boy dog son), became licensed foster parents and purchased a new car. With about a million smaller events in between. Diego was baptised, words can not express the feelings of this day and the support there is in the Gomez family. Finally we are getting to Christmas, my favorite time of the year. I am hoping that 2011 brings as much happiness for the Gomez house as this year has brought challenges. I am excited to see what happens. I will try to post again before the end of the year. I wish you all my very best

Going into the Unknown
Well so far everything in our little life is up in the air. We don't know what we are doing for school (both of us) We don't know where we are going to live. We don't know what to do about our jobs.... But WE ARE SO HAPPY!!!
I hope everyone is as happy in their life and marriage as Eldon and I are. We love live and we love being married. We love pushing each other to change and grow and do things that we normally wouldn't. We are SO lucky. It feels like we just fall more in love every day. I give credit to amazing communication with each other and service.
This past week I have been out of commission and my sweet hubby has been there to take care of me and make sure I do the things I need to do to heal. He makes sure I don't over do or lift things that I shouldn't, he has cooked and cleaned and made sure I have had everything I have wanted. In our almost 3 years of marriage I have now had 3 surgeries. This is the first that he has actually taken time off of work to make sure to take care of me. He took care of me the last 2 times as well but I spent a lot more time under the careful eye of my mother. This time it was his eye and I am so grateful for that. He has changed his attitude and has been there every step of the way. He did not miss one appointment with the doctor. He supports me and it is amazing to see.
He is doing P90X and it Hard core. He loves it and is feeling great, he is shaping up and has a goal to wrestle in the Utah summer games. He is going to be great. He is understanding but encouraging for me to become healthier. It is working and we are both reaping the benefits of leading healthy lives and eating well.
It will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of months. We don't have a plan yet.... and the unknown is freaking scary but wherever we go and what ever we end up doing I am sure we will have fun. Hmmmm maybe we will try living out of the country for a while.... maybe Australia or New Zealand or maybe we will go see the family in Guatemala we shall wait and see

Randomness
It has been a few weeks, life has been crazy!! I am finding it dificult to do all the things I want to do while keeping up my school and work schedual. I NEVER get to see my friends, we hardly see our family, we just hang out together. Which I love!! I have the worlds greatest husband.
We are going to start taking Eldon's little brothers with us to church. We are so excited, they are such sweet boys. Last week they were just full of questions and I love that we know and have the answers. I am so happy that they want to go and learn about the gospel. I am so excited to see them more they really are great boys.
I am also SO greatful and thankful for the trials and tough things we have to face. The Lord really knows us and knows what we need to learn and grow. Although trials suck REALLY bad, I am thankful for them. It amazes me how many people are looking out for us, think of us and pray for us. We are truly blessed.
Eldon I think is LOVING the fact that he is not in school right now. He is so excited he is reading all of the books that he never had time for before. I love that he has the time to read and do the things he likes doing. I love that he is passionate about books and writing. He likes playing the playstaion and is so excited for God of War 3 to come out. (that is his FAVORITE game) It takes a while to get through some games but he likes to make sure he doesn't miss one thing that is in there to do or see. He is so cute.
We are happy in our little world, it is busy and I wish we had more time to do things and hang out, but I think that part of our life comes later on. Right now we are just loving where we are and enjoying the no strings crazy life.
